Ok I have a plan – it’s not a massive one but it gives me something to aim towards.
The most motivational thing you can do in running is have a plan and in most cases have a race you can build to.
I have not signed up for any local (or non local) races but Run Keeper have given me the perfect excuse to plan ahead…
28th/29th May is Run Keepers second Global 5K.
An event where anyone can take part at any ability, all you have to do is log your run on the day.
Now I know this is not a massive distance but it has been a challenge to get to 5K as you will have seen in my recent running updates. I know I can get there, I just have to get through some strength building etc.
It’s easy for me to say it’s not a massive distance but I remember how hard it was to crack 5K when I first started to run. It felt like it was miles and miles but once I cracked it I felt like I made a massive achievement (and in many ways I had).
Breaking the first 5K lead me to run my first 10K and then onto the half marathon which is a distance I never dreamed of.
I am pretty confident that anyone can run 5K and I am confident I have time to get there but the 28th May and this is why I am picking this as my next running milestone.
Next 5K then back to 10 and then who knows…
Why not sign up and join me and thousands of other runners around the world for the Runkeeper Global 5K 😃
yeah – could do that I guess… 😊

Great idea! I haven’t used RunKeeper in ages, but might have to now that I’ve seen this. 😉
