Another weekend. More scorching hot weather (so hot in fact we left Wimpole early as there was no shade which made it unbearable).
We made the most of it thought and visited Wimpole Estate in Cambridgeshire.
We took a picnic (this time with lovely fresh English strawberries) and enjoyed our lunch in a shady patch before exploring the gardens.
As well as my Olympus I took the Ricoh Theta S camera and snapped some fun 360 photographs.
Here’s a selection of my photographs from our day out.
On the way home we happened to see a signpost for Grantchester so decided to divert and take a look.
Some of the locations are used in the popular TV series. It was quite nice but over run with cars. So much so it was difficult to get around.
We had a lovely amble through the fields and along the river. Observed a cricket match and headed into the center before visiting the church (which is featured as the Parish church in the show).
Sadly James Norton was nowhere to be seen! Maybe next time we visit we’ll be able to have a reenactment of the scene above 🙂
Brilliant . I do like you watch strap! Ivan
