OnePlus featured a photograph form my photography Instagram account in their campaign to promote the OnePlus 5.
(This is different from the activity where they illustrate my photos taken with the OnePlus 5.)
Anyway I was very pleased to have received recognition for my photography.
It’s a product shot but one I’m very happy with and love the fact that OnePlus have connected with my intent to showcase the detail of the phone and case.
Over the course of the day the likes on the OnePlus site have steadily crept up and are currently just under 14,000 likes!
This is absolutely mental and it is quite something to think that many people (at least), have seen my photo, let alone liked it.
The flip side though is the translation of activity on my account.
I have had a steady increase in likes but nowhere near the 14,000 on the OnePlus account. I’ve picked up new followers on Instagram too (hello) but again nothing like the volume of those who liked the photo.
I cannot complain as this one photograph has had more visibility than anything I’ve ever taken and for that I’m grateful.
I’m not daft though and realise the love is wrapped into the brand and receiving acknowledgement from the brand (think the cult of Apple).
It proves that on social media we like to be quick and react fast. The likes on the OnePlus account illustrate that it’s easier and quicker to like a photo from the source as you scroll through your feed rather than go to the original source and do the same there.
We’re all so busy aren’t we!
Can’t complain though. This is great exposure. I’ll include the link, who knows the likes may have creeped up further since I wrote this.
If you do view the post on Instagram, it would be great if you could visit my original post and like that one. Thanks 🙂
Brilliant acknowledgement for you.
