Train lines and tree lines

A sample of photographs captured with my new Leica X1.

Nothing exciting but a test of the camera’s capabilities.

I really like the JPEGS straight out of the camera and have managed to replicate the black and white film style into a preset for Lightroom.

As you can see black and white have great contrast:

I am also very pleased with the colour rendition:

Dynamic range is good too, it allows me to create some great effects…

What do you think?

Not bad for a camera released in 2010.

I have to get used to using it but it really does take you back to photography basics. I am sure I will pick it up quickly enough. Just have to make sure I use it!
