1st September marks the first day of March the Month for Prostate Cancer UK.
I have pledged to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK by walking 11,000 steps a day for the month.
11,000 men are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in the UK every year and sadly, in 2019, my dad was one of them.
I have put together a spreadsheet to share my progress and have decided to take this approach… My aim is to walk the 11,000 steps a day. On a normal day, this isn’t usually a problem but there are days this month where I will be travelling or stuck ion workshops.
Apart from pacing around or taking a treadmill with me, this may be hard to achieve on those days.
I, therefore, pledge to walk at least a total of 330,000 steps in September. (11,000 x 30 days).
You will be able to see how many steps I have to go as I update the sheet.
Thanks to everyone who has generously sponosored me, I am still hoping to raise some more to reach (and bust) my donation target.
If you can, please sponsor me online and give whatever you can. Every penny, cent, dime etc counts.
