All the F’s!

I have received my first developed roll of FujiFilm Provia 100F Slide Film and it’s fantastic!

It’s my first time shooting colour slide film and my first time shooting expired film.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I didn’t know what state the film was in (it’s been in the freezer), I also hadn’t shot 120 colour slide film in the Richomatic so this was a trial of firsts.

I needn’t have worried.

The shots came back from our day in Maldon and they look great.  They’re sharp.  There’s great colour rendition.  The light is good.

This was probably helped by it being a bright and crisp day but I think the Provia has worked wonderfully with the blues from the sky and the water at Maldon harbour.

I will share more photos from the roll in the coming days but for now, I will leave you with my favourite:

Maldon Harbour.  Provia 100F.  Ricohmatic TLR.

Having suffered some problems with the Zeiss I was a bit disappointed and had my 120 analogue film confidence dented a little.  I needn’t worry.  It looks like I cracked it with the Provia 100F and the TLR.

I’d love to take this film to the States but I wouldn’t be able to keep it frozen and there’s the TSA scanning problem so I will just have to keep it in storage and use it here in the UK.

I look forward to shooting with it again.
