Catching up on the news

The eagle-eyed of you may have noticed my recent shots have been taken with a FujiFilm X100S.

I decided to sell some old unused gear and bought a beat-up X100S that I keep in my bag.

I have not had much chance to try it out yet but am impressed with the straight out of camera JPG I am getting in both colour and black and white.

The above shot was taken during a walk along the Thames at lunchtime and I love how crisp this image is and the range in the black and white.

I was looking back at photos I’d taken with the X70 and I love those shots. The X70 is quite expensive and you get more with the X100S series (including a dual optical and electronic viewfinder). I beat myself up over getting another camera and swapping kit but so far I am pleased with my choice.
