The Chao Phraya River

Bangkok

The newest bridge to span the Choa Phraya River

For our first night on Thailand our friends kindly took us for a meal on the Chao Phraya river.

It was a magical evening and a wonderful introduction to the city of Bangkok.

As well as the wonderful views of the historical monuments, the boat also sailed under the new bridge that spans the river.

With the (Kings yellow) illumination along the bridge, it made for a very dramatic site against the dark of the night.

Possibly not the best photograph of the bridge but a wonderful reminder of a lovely evening in Bangkok.
