Loy Krathong Float King

Loy Krathong Float King

Smiling young Thai man sat aloft a float in the Loy Krathong parade in Chiang Mai

This smiling young man is sat aloft a float in the Loy Krathong parade in Chiang Mai.

We got stuck in Chiang Mai, having parked the car at a car park on the route.

The procession took several hours to pass and each float that went by was louder and brighter than the last.

Each float was also supported with a pick up truck full of electricity generators, speakers and audio equipment to bring the float to life.

Thailand really is the land of smiles and this young man was certainly enjoying his position on this throne.
